My Projects

Welcome to my site that is solely focused on tracking my journey in restoring a 1967 Mercury Cougar and modding my 2010 JK. I have started with no real mechanical background or knowledge beyond how to drive and where to put the gas/oil/windshield washer fluid. I'm learning simply from direction from my cousins, Dad, and Google. Though I have help, trust me that every project discussed in the blogs would have been touched, installed, fixed, or modified by my own hands as well. They won't let me get away from getting dirty, or doing some hard work.

Please feel free to comment, ask questions, and please offer up any suggestions!

Enjoy the ride!

1967 Mercury Cougar GT

My dad purchased this car quite a few years ago. I'm now the fourth owner. It made it's way east from Colorado. What's great is that each owner took really great care and records. I have all maintenance and parts records since the 90s. The picture here with the original manual and look of the car. This 1967 Mercury Cougar GT S code originally had the 390 Big Block, but was replaced in the early 2000s for it's smaller brother. The original color is trafalgar blue, with black vinyl top, and aqua interior. Read along to see if maybe the Big Block will be re-united with this car, and to see what else the makeover may bring.

Did you know that the 1967 Mercury Cougar was Motor Trends Car of the Year?

2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander 2DR

Admittedly, there will be a lot less activity on this project, than the Cougar project. This stuff costs money, and getting the Cougar out on the road is the biggest priority. The 2010 JK is my daily driver. Living in the city and not really needing a car, I bought it used as a fun vehicle that can be parked anywhere and survive in snow storms.

The 2010 special edition was the Islander. Equipped with Sport package amenities but Rubicon suspension. I loved the color and that it had both the hard and soft tops. Most modification and work will be focused on conveniences and style. Of course, until something breaks!

I will say though, having a Jeep is an addiction! Not a lot of days go by without looking or dreaming about new mods. And who doesn't love a good Jeep Wave?
